There is an good account of Bridgewater during the Civil War here.
There is a little article on the siege of Taunton here, and you can find out a little more if yo read this account of a local recreation group, the Taunton Garrison.
The battle of Langport was an important battle, and you can read about it here.

The BBC has a detailed account of the story of the Civil War in the south-west starting here.

For a VERY detailed account on the Civil War in the South-West, you need to read the sequence of webpages which begin with this one.

I take it you LIVE in Somerset? If you go down to your local library there is a brilliant book by David Underdown, Somerset in the Civil War and Interregnum (published by David & Charles, Newton Abbot [Eng.], 1973). If you ask them they are sure to have it, and you will be able to look up the places in the index and find out every time they figured in the Civil War and what happened there.
