Your Drama teacher is exaggerang to try to put off all the dead-beats who chose it thinking it is an 'easy option'. Problem is - it IS!

I'd love to take GCSE history too, I don't mind huge amounts of coursework if its about something I like. I hope my school will let me quit geography because that has lots of boring coursework......
If our school doesn't do a certain period in history lets say... Medieval~Renaissance.
Is there anything we can do about this? Any clubs/groups that specialise in this sort of thing? I know you can get this because i did a certain exam a couple of years ago but the problem is finding it :S. I currently live in London. Anything within a 2 hour journey by car is great, or even just some websites to do with this, since i don't think my school does this period >_<

I'm not aware of a GCSE History course which studies the Renaissance
Cambridge IGCSE offers a course of study on the 19th century.
All the others are either Modern World OR Schools History.
If you do Schools History Project you get to study the Develpment through Time topic (Medicine or Crime and Punishment) in the Renaissance as one of the periods-through-time. But it's not a study of the Renaissance as such.
If you want to study the Renaissance, you need to do History at A-level.

Hmmm, i probably won't be able to do history for A level since my demand for other subjects.... I'll still do history anyways and hope it'll be as fun as thje medieval-renaissance period.
Oh and remember that 500 word essay?
Well one of the same people who did a 20min presentation did a 2000 word essay. We all of them as a class, like a pair do someones and another pair do another. I fear i may be marked down deeply due to one pupil who hates me marking mine, also mine probably won't get as high marks as the other students because she will probably forget her so called limit.
