HA!
Sorry Smartie, we don\'t just tell you the answers on this forum.

We do, however, try to point you in the direction of where you might find out for yourself.

One place to start would be with this thread on the forum.

Another idea might be a forum serach for:
+French +Revolution
and follow some of the likely-looking links.

Another possiblity would be to do a google search for
"French Revolution"
and follow some of the likely-looking links.

Hi again.
Yes - I do realise that posting your request, then waiting for a teacher to reply, can seem a little slow.
But you have to realise that this is for your protection.
When you contact this forum you can be assured that you are being answered, in public, by properly checked-out teaching teachers.
We always discourage private one-to-one communcation between pupils and adults, who may not always be who they appear to be.

And also, for the teachers who help on the forum, it gives them a little protection.
The teachers who help here do so for free, in their own free time, so it is only right that they are able to help at their own convenience.

I am glad you found what you needed about the French Revolution - well done! :)
I think it is a very hard topic to understand, so you are to be congratulated.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask them here on the forum.

This is the difference between NARRATIVE history and ANALYTICAL history.

Narrative history is just when you tell the story. This is how small children answer History. If they are asked a question they simply 'tell the story'.

Analytical history is where you think of a nunmber of 'points' to answer the question. if you are asked, for instance, the causes of the French Revolution, you don't answer it as a list of dates, but as a list of FACTORS which contributed to the outbtreak of the revolution, for example:
1. the poverty of the people
2. the disrepute of the court
3. the growth of the middle classes
4. new ideas about religion and politics
etc.

What you do when you answer a question in this way, is to give a paragraph to each 'point'.
In it you 'PEE' -
first you make the Point simply
next you put the facts/dates/Evidence which proves the point happened
finall you Explain how this factor caused a revolution.
