Hey :)

I'm returning to college in about 3 weeks, so still a while.

My holidays have been alright, a bit stressful though.

Yes. We're also picking GCSE's and i think i'm about 3 weeks late into this? ^^ nevermind.

I'm really struggling over whether to pick history or not. I know i could manage with the topics but they don't really interest me.

I hope you do - you are so able at it that you ought to think seriously of A-level, never mind GCSE.

Have you ever considered being a lawyer?

GCSE hopefully. But definitely not A-Level, the number of teachers i have on my back for me to do A-Level in a subject is ridiculous. I've even got my graphics design teacher to create me as an 'example' of some sort so my school makes a course for graphics design A-Level.

Yes i have considered being a lawyer but I'm not sure if it's the right thing for me. I want to go down one of two paths. Lawyer or Scientist. My cousin is a lawyer so he could show me some stuff in court and take me to several cases he works on and my dad's friend is a forensic scientist and promised to take me on a trip round their facilities this summer. So I'm divided. I still do not know what to do or what to take for A-Level. I'm going to be starting a course for Maths so that might influence me, science is constantly influencing me. But at the moment I don't really have the time to think. I've got so many things going in my life I can barely find the time in the day to browse these forums.
I want to undergo a period of 'refreshment' during the half term where i basically do i have the time i previously didn't and i can finally pursue my many passions.

By the way, what makes you suggest at me becoming a lawyer? I'm not really ethnic so if I do become a lawyer by cases won't be driven by passion or motivated from any particular source apart from myself. This could seriously degrade my work, could it not? Especially since you are constantly dealing with other people, not only the victims or prosecuted. Although I'm learning slowly what it must feel like to work which is something I wouldn't really expect at this age, not even into my GCSE's. So many obligations. It's like you're buried under a mountain and you have to find that tiny crack of time.

Anyways that's it finally for my ranting. Hope you have a nice weekend.

You are so bright that everyone will want you. Sorry. I didn't mean to pressurise you. I won't mention it again.

Sounds a good idea. All work and no play and all that. You are right to believe that at your age an important part of maturing properly is playing properly.

Firstly, please don't take me too seriously; my comment wasn't some deep thought-out process ending with a considered piece of 'advice'!!!
I'd just noticed that:
1. You are incredibly clever
2. You have a well-developed logical thought process
3. You love finding things out
4. You love a good debate/argument
and thought that maybe you would enjoy arguing things out in court.
So it wasn't a pressure thing.
Actually, my feeling is that you are bright enough to do anything you want to do!

What's this with the ethnic? It's no big deal for me. You are a bright and opinionated pupil - good on you. Please don't let the fact that I happened to disagree with you about one issue become an issue.

See above about work and play. Having said that, I think the clue to my life being so happy is that my work IS my play - they are the same thing.

Hope you have a nice weekend.
Thank you. Ditto.
I hesitate to say any of the above - ultimately, it's none of my business. If you want any of this editing out, please just ask.
