hi whoever's reading this!
I'm an IB History Higher student in Vienna and my IA draft is due in just under two weeks. having slightly masochistic tendencies i have decided to do my IA on Alexander the great and from the brief reading i've been doing i think the best thing to do is a question military related. my teacher isn't very approachable to say the least otherwise i would ask him but i deem that the evidence concerning Alexander's army and military tactics including the wars he won which made him King of Asia, is more reliable and abundant. it also seems to be a more objective topic than those treated under the whole idealistic light that is thrown on Alexander which is generally debatable. from another post i read it seems you're not allowed to tell us which topic to choose but could you please let me know if my topic choice seems reasonable to you. ancient history is a touchy subject especially as one has to be very analytical and selective and dedicated in order to find good, reliable sources. i just want to make sure i'm starting on a good foot (which is usually my right foot for some reason. my left one always falls asleep).
thank you!!
Priyanka.
