I would imagine that your teacher is refering to the impact of the Treaty Of Versailles on European politics, particularly with Facism in Italy and Germany. The resentments in many nations that there were. Without telling you the answer, no one was happy with the treaty.

Just remember, like most things there were short and long term causes, even to do with the influence of world war one.
However in your answer try to be brief and to the point.

Try reading this thread - it's a very similar issue; the answers to that question are the same as they answers to your question.

In my opinion the treaty of versailles was the biggest factor enabling the causes of world war 2. The treaty of versailles had 4 main terms. War guilt, reparations, disarmament and territorial clauses. This in the end fuelled anger amongst germans throughout the period of 1919-1923. However after 1923, stresemann came to power and fixed most of germanys problems under the dawes plan. It felt as if germany was doing well. However in 1929 the wall street crash occured, putting germany back into the great depression. This allowed hitler to come to power and make his policies into a reality, which included the abolishment of the treaty of versailles which was the biggest factor enabling world war || as said above.
I know this isnt relevant to this post but I felt this had to be pointed out; After the treaty of versailles other factors enabled the influence of sparking world war two this included:
The failiure of the league of nations
Hitlers actions.
The failiure of appeasement
