Does anyone know any historiography that i could use in my extended essay, my question is:
To what extent were the inequalities faced by Black Americans in the 1920s and 1930s due to the activities of organisations like the kkk?

This google book is quite a simple but thorough overview.
This is an enthusiastic article about the 1920s,and you may like this about the 1930s.
Do a google search on "Jim Crow Laws", and check out sharecroppers.
The KKK were the outrageous extreme of racism, but your essay - after it has described their activities - needs to talk about all the other discriminations, oppressions and belittlements that Black Americans lived under, day after day of their everyday lives.
