What would be the main points of a 12-mark AQA-style essay question on this topic? I know that the Reichstag Fire and of course the Enabling Act were important, but what else is there to write about? In the practice exam I just did, I found myself reverting back to propaganda and Hitler's oratory skill (gaining support from other parties), but I thought the propaganda paragraph especially wasn't very relevant to the question. It wasn't the people but the politicians who voted Hitler's permanent dictatorial powers. Please help!

Good question.
If you are tslking about why Hitler came to power you need these ideas.
If you are talking about how Hitler moved from being Chancellor to dictator, you need these events.
Am I right in thinking that the 12-mark question is the either-or question?
If it is, you will need to do it in the ideas-for/ideas-against/conclusion structure.
