I am a year 10/11 student currently studying the possible causes for the failure of the gallipoli campaign.

I am stuggling to find sources/quotes to back up what I am saying in my coursework.

I would really appreciate it if somebody could point me in the right direction to find any sources/quotes that would be relevent to my coursework.

Thank You.

Really hard!

All I can suggest is that you trawl through books and websites looking for suitable quotes. You will be interested in this webpage on the sources for the Gallipoli Campaign, and this list of Gallipoli websites.

Remember that you do not have to quote people from the time - you can quote historians and even people on the web, as long as you say how relaible/valid their ideas are.

There is a good google book here with some quotable quotes, and this google book looks even better.

Thre is a good thread on the Gallipoli campaign on this forum here.

To add to what Mr. Clare has already said, it is often worth having a look at the BBC History website which has a lot of information on the First and Second World Wars. The following article might provide you with useful material:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwt...i_dday_02.shtml

Also, the Spartacus Schoolnet website is generally very good for quotes from participants. Try this page:

Good luck.

Thank You both SO much for your help!

I read through all the pages in the links you sent me (it took me ages!) but it was worth it, they were a great help to me. biggrin.gif

Thank You (again)
