Right, having consulted with my esteemed colleague, Mr. John Clare, I have established what the coursework rules allow me to tell you. Please make sure that you cite the websites given in your bibliography. It might also be worth printing off this topic and including it in case the examiner wants to check your sources.

The best place to start is 'The Long, Long Trail' website. You can find out which part of the British Army which moved supplies at the following page:

http://www.1914-1918.net/asc.htm

However, there is also relevant information towards the bottom of this page:

http://www.1914-1918.net/cre.htm

This will describe how supplies were moved up towards the trenches. However, for what happened in the trenches:

http://www.1914-1918.net/intrenches.htm

I hope that this is enough for your purposes. If you need help interpreting what you have found, or ideas for more sources, then please let us know. Good luck.
