Why should we study history? Based on this site, a brief list of reasons why we study history. A useful starting point to begin thinking and research.  
Who has studied history? Perhaps not exactly persuasive, but certainly a great indication that becoming a history teacher is not the only thing studying history helps you do! (from LearnHistory.org.uk)
Why study history? A good, clear explanation of the benefits of studying history at school.  The details relates to the Scottish Education system, but the explanation is relevant for all!
What is history? Not suitable for direct classroom use, but this page presents some quotations about history and historians.  Could be useful for display.
Studying history A complicated, but worthwhile explanation of the need to use primary sources when researching or studying history.  From the Internet Medieval Sourcebook.
Using historical sources Again, a little too complex, but this site explains clearly the use of primary and secondary sources.
Historiography An explanation of how history has been studied, including details on the 'great' historians.  The uncomfortable title of the page is 'How to do history'.
