The Jacobite Rebellions		Interesting and accessible overview of the Jacobite Rebellions split into three sections - 'origins', '1689-1713' and '1713-1745'. An excellent source of information for students.

The Glorious Revolution of 1688		WikiPedia information about the Glorious Revolution of 1688 - very useful detail but do make sure you cross-reference your sources.

Massacre of Glencoe		Detailed analysis of what what caused the massacre and what actually happened. As with many sites for this period this is very text heavy, but pupils should be able to select useful information.

Summary of the 1707 Act		A concise summary of the Act of Union and a brief explanation of how events since 1603 led to the Act.

The Jacobite Claimants		From the Queen's website, a history of the Jacobite Claimants, including the Old and Young Pretenders. Valuable information, with accessible vocabulary for KS3, together with some superb illustrations.

The Old Pretender and the 1715 uprising		Very short biography of James Stuart (the Old Pretender) and the Jacobite uprisings and resistance to the 1707 Act of Union.

The Young Pretender and the 1745 rebellion		A similarly short biography of the Young Pretender, Bonnie Prince Charlie, or Prince Charles Stuart and the French backed rebellion of 1745

The Battle of Culloden		An account of the battle, with detailed and extensive explanations. Useful, yet quite hard going for most KS3 pupils.
