Blind Date

Queen Elizabeth 1 took on an important task when she became Queen of England (after Mary 1). This task was to keep the Tudor reign going. To do this she had to be married. But did she succeed?

 

Elizabeth had many suitors, to be exact there were 25 in total! 5 were possibly suitable. Though it really was like a game of Blind Date, as her advisors were choosing for her. Which couldn’t have been a good thing for her.

Elizabeth realised that marriage was not everything. So, she didn't actually marry.  Instead she claimed to be married to her country - showing her dedication to being a strong Queen!
